When I heard that APK Live was closing I was very surprised. It has been a great venue for live music and celebration since it reopened on Wellington & York a couple of years ago. Looking back, I regret not going to more of the events that were hosted there, but I never imagined that a time would come that they would have to close for good. Cadence Weapon played the last scheduled show at APK Live the other night. It was a lot of fun, most notably his use of Breakbot’s  “Baby I’m Yours” and the free 7 inch. I’m really going to miss seeing things on that stage and in that space.

Some of the guys in a band called The Overseer invited me out to their show at the Music Hall while they were in town. Unfortunately I was really busy that evening so I just missed their set, but I did manage to take a few photographs of the headliner while I was there.
